DESCRIPTION: This linen sheer fabric has been chosen to create roman shades and provide privacy in the home. It will also allow light through the windows in the WC. This luxurious fabric blind is made in classic style and folds as you draw it upwards. The blinds help insulate the room from heat, cold, and noise. The curtain length chosen is sill (sitting on the sill). Inspired by the bays of the Amalfi coast, this bold pattern is highly decorative and has on it a delightful and sophisticated damask print treated in an Ikat style. It looks beautiful with the black wainscoting and black paint in the space and brings softness as it works with the splashback design. The material chosen is 100% linen, a natural fibre that is organic, biodegradable, recyclable, and eco-friendly. Linen was also the most prized fabric in Egyptian history, bringing with it a sense of history. May need UV backing or liner.

DESCRIPTION: I have chosen this fabric for the lampshade in the guest bedroom. This lampshade is so cute and provides shade on top of the light used for reading and other activities in the guest bedroom. This lampshade is made from 100% cotton. Cotton is a natural fibre that is eco-friendly, biodegradable, sustainable, and renewable. The name of this pattern is maisie, a more abstract motif. It is a repetitive geometric pattern based on potato printing, which is very popular in India and South Asia. The scale of this pattern is fairly small. The geometric shapes we see compliment the shapes in other parts of the home, like the geometric shapes in the flooring in the pantry, WC, and laundry.

Care Instructions: Clean with Water Based Foam or Agent
Recommended use: Drapery
Rub test: Light Domestic/General Domestic
DESCRIPTION: I have chosen this durable blackout curtain with a soft platinum colour, to provide privacy and allow light into the living room windows placed at the front of the home. Made from a combination of polyester and rayon, this fabric is inviting and warm. The blackout feature will not only provide privacy in the home, but will allow the client to have the option of watching late night movies in the dark. The fabric is deliberately simple in pattern and colour, taking a back seat to the other patterns already in the room and tying them all together. Curtains are used to help insulate a room from heat, cold and noise. These curtains will also reduce energy consumption, which saves money. The curtain length is breaking, adding an extra 2cm to the floor length, allowing the curtain to skim the floor. The curtains will be hung from an eyelet curtain header using a pole, creating a simple, casual and modern feel. It may need a UV backing or lining.

DESCRIPTION: I have chosen this fabric for the living room cushions. These silk cushions will provide aesthetically pleasing decorative feature to the living room space and elegance in the home. The 4 cushions will be set on the sofa and loveseat and will be 13” x 13” in size. The cushions are made from 100% taffeta silk decorated with viscose embroidery incorporated in a bold floral print that is so beautiful and exquisite. The embroidery is luxurious and adds colour and texture. Silk is the strongest natural fibre, can last for centuries, and adds luxury and formality to any room. The small scale pattern blends nicely with the repeating floral patterns in the wallpaper in the living room and on the stairs. According to the Designers Guild website, the floral pattern detail is inspired by a dress worn by Queen Elizabeth I in a portrait dating 1580-1585. Decorating with silk and embroidery is also popular in many eastern cultures.

DESCRIPTION: I have chosen this fabric for the ottoman in the study. This ottoman will provide rest, comfort and function to the space. The study is all about function, so the ottoman is there to rest your feet on as you sit and study in front of your desk. Made from 100% wool, this geometric plaid print features large scale checks and is a contemporary twist on a traditional design. The pattern on the ottoman is plaid and brings with it a level of comfort. I like the coziness of both plaid and wool, it’s very warm and home-like. Wool is a versatile and resilient natural fibre that lasts for many years. Wool has sound insulation properties, absorbs cold drafts, and makes a large space more intimate. The plaid on the ottoman ties in nicely with the stripes in the armchair (not shown here) that is also in the study. They look really good together.

Made from 100% cotton, this florals pattern fabric will be attractive yet comfortable; busy yet soft. Cotton is a natural fabric and is eco-friendly, biodegradable, sustainable, and renewable. Made from a combination of PVC, polyester, and polyurethane, this durable fabric allows the surface to be cleaned and protected with ease and resembles leather. Both convincing and elegant, this material is called tannery, a super soft imitation leather and manufactured fibre, with a dabbled texture. This sofa is simple, without pattern, and not overstated. Without drawing too much attention to itself, this nice white sofa, blends and matches well with all the other details in the living room. The sofa will be set on the living room’s north side and will act as a room divider between the living room and dining room, as well.

Width: 154.0cm
Horizontal Repeat: 2.2cm
Vertical Repeat: 0.0cm
Care Instructions: Do not bleach; Do not tumble dry; Do not wash; Drycleaning Gentle cycle; Low iron max 110C; Warning: Iron reverse side use barrier cloth
Rub Test: 100,000 Martindale Cycles (Commercial Grade)
Recommended use: Upholstery Heavy Duty; Top of Bed; Curtains; Accessory
DESCRIPTION: I have chosen this very luxurious fabric for the upholstered bed in the guest bedroom. This upholstered bed will provide a sleep space while being opulent and beautiful. The fabric is plush, soft, and made from velvet, bringing a level of elegance and formality to the space. Because it is velvet, particular attention must be paid to the nap. Made from a combination of viscose, cotton, and polyester, this geometric pattern is soft stripes. These stripes go well with the wainscoting stripes in the WC; the stripes in the wood panels in the laundry; and with the stripes in the study. Because the 3D panel in the same guest bedroom is heavily detailed, the white velvet and its stripes, helps soften up the space.
