STUFF A BUS AND SUPPORT EDMONTON'S FOOD BANK

The Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) has just launched its Stuff A Bus campaign, The campaign, now in its 24th year, launches this Wednesday November 28 and will run until December 1. The campaign encourages Edmontonians to share the holiday spirit and drop off any non-perishable food items in any of the following locations:

An ETS bus parked at participating Save-On-Foods or participating transit centres

An LRT car at Clareview LRT Station

And, new this year, in a cruiser used by Transit Peace Officers

On December 1, an ETS bus will also be at the Spruce Grove Save-On-Foods, and a decorated LRT train will be at Clareview LRT station in northeast Edmonton.

Donations can also be made online.

Stuff A Bus has had a long history of Edmontonians "helping their neighbours," those who rely on Edmonton's Food Bank, especially during the holidays, and the program continues to grow. Since 1995, ETS Stuff a Bus has collected over 475,000 kg of food and $438,000 in cash donations for Edmonton’s Food Bank. Last year, people donated 29,823 kg of food and $19,098.
