THERE'S GOING TO BE A LIVE-ACTION REMAKE OF DISNEY'S MULAN
It's been 20 years since Disney’s Mulan was first released on June 19, 1998. Two decades later, Disney is remaking the film, set with a new release date of March 27, 2020, The story will focus on the journey of Hua Mulan—played by New Zealand-born Liu Yifei—as she disguises herself as a male warrior to save her elderly father.
What new stuff can we expect from the remake?
1. Mulan will have a new love interest
2. Mulan will have a sister
3. The villain will be a witch
4. It may (or may not) be a musical
5. AND... Mushu and Cricket are *currently* MIA
(P.S. - There hasn’t been any announcements regarding the comeback of our beloved scene-stealing dragon Mushu, or Mulan’s adorable lucky charm, Cricket. However, with a release date 21 months from now, we still have time to find out.)
