SAY HELLO TO THE NEW HAPPY WALL IN DOWNTOWN EDMONTON!
If you are heading to the Art Gallery of Alberta, Winspear Centre, Citadel Theatre, or TIX on the Square, you might want to drop by Churchill Square along 102A Avenue and visit Edmonton's newest piece of art, the Happy Wall. Churchill Square which is already a hub of activity for people, has just added a large interactive pixel art installation, 17 metres long and covered with 1,040 coloured panels of reclaimed wood. The wood can be flipped to create images and even phrases, and you can even add your own personal message or picture. The Happy Wall is the first of its kind in Canada and promises to keep the Square active and vibrant until May 2019.
