FEMALE CLIMBER, NEPALESE WOMAN LHAKPA SHERPA, WANTS TO BE AN INSPIRATION TO WOMEN
FEMALE climber, Nepalese woman Lhakpa Sherpa, wants to be an inspiration to women after her 9th ascent of the highest peak of Mount Everest. Sherpa, the most successful female climber of Mount Everest just returned from her ninth ascent and she wants to be an example to all women to chase and achieve their dreams.
The 44-year-old never received a formal education because she had to start earning a living by carrying climbing gear and supplies for trekkers. “If an uneducated woman who is a single mother can climb Everest nine times, any woman can achieve their dreams,” Sherpa said.
Sherpa wants to return next year for yet another climb.
